Title : Business Development Manager (Individual Contributor)
Who We Are:
We're a fast-growing robotics startup building next-generation automation technology for real-world industrial environments like warehouses and factories. Backed by strong investors and already deployed with customers across Europe, we're scaling quickly and looking for sharp, driven people to help shape what comes next.
Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Manager to help us find and open up new opportunities for the business. This is a genuinely open-ended, high-ownership role. You won't be handed a fixed vertical or a defined territory. You'll be expected to identify where the opportunity is, bring your own instincts and network to bear, and go after it. We're hiring several people into this function, each with real latitude to shape their own direction and prove out new ground.
Your Responsibilities:
Opportunity Identification
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, verticals, or markets using your own judgment, research, and network.
- Think creatively about where our technology could create value, even in spaces we haven't touched yet.
Relationship Building
- Build relationships with decision-makers across industries, including outside our current markets or sector.
- Represent our mission and technology credibly to a wide range of stakeholders, from technical buyers to senior leadership.
Execution & Momentum
- Move fast. We believe a smart, motivated person can make real, tangible progress on a new opportunity within 2-3 months if they push hard enough.
- Take an idea from first conversation through to a genuine, qualified opportunity for the business.
Qualifications:
Experience
- Real-world, practical business development or sales experience. A formal business or software background is not required.
- Prior experience at a fast-paced company or startup environment is a strong plus.
Skills
- A strong professional network, ideally within robotics or automation. We are also very open to a specific, deep network within another industry our technology could expand into (for example, a particular vertical like pharma, food and beverage, or manufacturing) rather than a broad, generic network with no real depth anywhere.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, and genuine comfort representing a business to senior stakeholders.
Soft Skills
- Above all, you need to be ready to join a genuinely fast-paced, high-intensity environment and get after it from day one. This is not a role for someone looking for a steady, predictable pace, and we mean that seriously.
- Street smart, practical instinct for how deals actually get done, more than formal theory.
- Genuine hunger and mission-driven energy.
- Comfort operating with real ambiguity and limited structure.
- High ownership and a bias toward action.
