Job summary

BYD Automotive GmbH in Hoppegarten near Berlin is seeking a dedicated maintenance and repair specialist to uphold defined procedures across battery testing and rework workflows. You will perform daily tasks within strict SOPs, conduct quality checks, and collaborate with process engineers to identify efficiency improvements while maintaining a safe, organized 5S workspace and high-quality output.

The role also requires attention to detail and teamwork, with up to 30% travel to support production

Qualifications

• Good communication and teamwork skills with a strong sense of responsibility.
• E-auto battery work background and practical, hands-on approach.
• Driver license and forklift license; Hochvolt FHV Stufe 2s certificate and electrical knowledge preferred.
• English required; German or Chinese a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to Defined Procedures.
• Strictly execute repair, testing, and self-inspection tasks in strict compliance with SOPs.
• Self-inspection at end of each task or batch to verify quality before movement.
• Task management and communication; complete daily tasks within the specified timeframe.
• Proactively report work status updates, completion confirmations, and any abnormalities or issues encountered.
• Daily maintenance of all tools, testing equipment, and the workstation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe (5S) work environment.
• Maintain the highest quality standard for all reworked units.
• Ensure a 100% quality check to prevent NG parts from advancing to the next step.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide feedback and assist in optimizing battery testing and repair procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

• Proactively and promptly report work status updates, completion confirmations, and any abnormalities or issues encountered during shift.
• Equipment & Worksite Maintenance
• Perform daily maintenance of all tools, testing equipment, and the workstation according to the prescribed maintenance schedule and checklist.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe (5S) work environment.
• Quality Assurance
• Maintain the highest quality standard for all reworked units.
• Ensure a 100% quality check to prevent any Non-Conforming (NG) parts from advancing to the next production or assembly step.
• Continuous Improvement
• Actively collaborate with Process Engineers to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Provide feedback and assist in optimizing battery testing and repair procedures to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required

• Good communication and teamwork skills,strong sense of responsibility.
• E-auto battery working background and be good at practical things.
• Driver license, license of forklift, certificate of Hochvolt FHV stufe 2s , electrician knowledge are preferred.
• English proficiency is required; German or Chinese is a plus.
• Acceptable for high business travel frequency (approx. 30%).
