BYD Europe in Berlin is seeking a dedicated laboratory support professional to assist battery testing activities and operate lab equipment. Responsibilities include PPE inventory, cell disassembly, and maintaining lab cleanliness and safety compliance.

You will work in a full-time capacity in Berlin Hoppegarten, contributing to zero-emission initiatives and the company’s analytical workflow with a proactive safety mindset.

Responsabilités

• Support battery testing activities and operate laboratory equipment.
• Handle PPE procurement, inventory, and replenishment.
• Assist with cell disassembly and safety procedures.
• Maintain 5S, cleanliness, and regular inspection of tools/equipment.
• Support handling, transport, sorting, and storage of batteries as per safety rules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support various battery testing activities and operate laboratory equipment, including voltage and temperature sampling, insulation/withstand voltage testers, microscopes, CT, X-ray, SEM/EDS, and other analytical equipment.

• Process employee travel expenses and explain reimbursement routines.

• Perform cell disassembly in accordance with internal procedures, including opening aluminum cell casings and separating tabs, cathode/anode electrodes, separators, and other internal components.

• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, organization and 5S standards, also regular inspection of tools, equipment etc.

• Support the procurement, inventory management, and replenishment of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and other laboratory materials.

• Support the handling, transportation, sorting, and storage of battery in accordance with internal safety requirements.
