Job summary

Siemens Energy seeks an experienced Internal Audit professional to drive risk-based audits across our global organization. You will lead a team, scope and execute audit plans, and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions within various business units.

The role requires a strong background in accounting and internal controls, excellent English communication, and willingness to travel up to 50% globally, with German language skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, accounting, finance, or business management.
• Several years of experience in a commercial or financial role with exposure to accounting and/or internal control policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; German language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk-based internal audits assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, financial systems, and operational processes.
• Support the development and execution of audit plans, including scoping, testing, and documentation, to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and industry best practices
• Lead and manage a team of internal auditors, providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality audit execution and timely completion of audit projects
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken by various business units

How You’ll Make an Impact

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering, economics, accounting, finance, or business management; CA, ACCA, CPA, CIA, MBA or Data Analytics degree a plus
• Several years of experience in a commercial or financial role with an exposure to accounting and/or internal control policies preferred
• A verifiable history of high‑level performance
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and ideally German with ability to effectively communicate across multiple management tiers
• Practical understanding of Data Science and/or Data Analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, etc.)
• A commitment to continuous learning and readiness for global travel up to 50%.
