As an Assistant Technical Superintendent - Cruise (m/f/d) at BSM Cruise, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and cost‑efficient technical operation of assigned cruise vessels. In this role, you assist the Technical Superintendent and act as a supportive link between ship and shore, helping to coordinate technical activities, maintain compliance, and contribute to smooth day‑to‑day operations. Your work supports consistent vessel performance, technical readiness, and high operational standards.
Support the safe and efficient technical management of assigned cruise vessels in line with contractual requirements
Assist in monitoring machinery and equipment performance and support the implementation of corrective actions
Support the planning, coordination, and follow‑up of maintenance and repair activities
Assist in forecasting technical needs, spare parts requirements, and training demands
Support the handling and follow‑up of technical issues, ensuring timely communication with relevant stakeholders
Assist in ensuring vessel certification compliance and the implementation of regulatory updates
Support planning, execution, and follow‑up of dry‑dockings and major repair projects
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of technical budgets (OPEX & CAPEX) and cost control activities
Participate in vessel visits, inspections, and audits, supporting reporting and follow‑up actions
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent, or Chief Engineer / Officer qualification
Sailing experience as a technical or engineering officer, preferably on cruise vessels
Shore‑based experience in technical ship management is an advantage but not mandatory
Strong knowledge of vessel technical systems and marine regulations
Good planning and coordination skills
Clear and professional communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team and support multiple stakeholders
Structured working style with attention to detail
Proficiency in English
