Zusammenfassung

Carnival Maritime, part of Carnival Corporation, seeks a Hamburg-based HVAC‑R engineer to oversee safe and efficient operation of shipboard climate systems. You will coordinate maintenance, support dry dock activities, and collaborate with onboard and shore teams across Europe to ensure top performance and environmental compliance.

Applicants should have a degree in HVAC or maritime tech and hands-on experience with HVAC‑R in a maritime setting, plus strong English and project coordination

Qualifikationen

• A degree in HVAC, refrigeration or a maritime technical field (ship operation, shipbuilding, outfitting or engineering) or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience with HVAC‑R systems in a maritime environment, ideally on cruise ships/ferries/yachts.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of Infoship/Amos or similar software is desirable.
• Practical experience in project coordination or management is an advantage.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Very good command of English.

• Plan and participate in all Dry Dock activities.
• Manage HVAC items, spare parts, consumables, and procedures.
• Review and optimize maintenance procedures and item setup in Infoship.
• Structure and maintain HVAC‑R documentation and technical information.

Your Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe, reliable, efficient and environmentally compliant operation of all HVAC‑R systems
• Plan and execute all HVAC and refrigeration‑related operations, including maintenance, day‑to‑day activities, improvements and technical modifications for assigned vessels
• Foster a strong safety and environmental protection culture through close collaboration with onboard and shore‑based teams
• Conduct regular inspections onboard, including project‑related and shipyard period inspections
• Plan and actively participate in all Dry Dock activities
• Manage HVAC items and maintenance processes (spare parts, consumables, procedures and instructions)
• Review, update and optimize maintenance procedures and manage item setup within Infoship
• Structure, organize and maintain all HVAC‑R documentation and technical information

Your Profile

• A degree in HVAC, refrigeration or a maritime technical field such as ship operation, shipbuilding, outfitting, service or engineering; alternatively, a comparable technical qualification
• Practical experience in project coordination or project management is an advantage
• Solid hands‑on experience working with HVAC‑R systems in a maritime environment, ideally on cruise ships, large ferries or yachts
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with systems such as Infoship, Amos or similar software is desirable
• Experience leading small project teams is beneficial
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and a structured, solution‑oriented working style
• Very good command of English
