X-FAB in Erfurt bietet eine duale Ausbildung zum Mikrotechnologen (m/w/d) in der Halbleiterfertigung. Sie arbeiten im Reinraum, führen qualitätsorientierte Inspektionen durch und setzen Produktionsprozesse in der Waferherstellung um.

Auszubildende erhalten eine attraktive Vergütung von 1.137 bis 1.309 € brutto pro Monat, profitieren von 30 Tagen Urlaub und der Möglichkeit auf Übernahme bei erfolgreichem Abschluss. Ausbildungsstart ist der 01. August 2027 in Erfurt.

Qualifications

• Realschulabschluss, idealerweise in Chemie/Physik.
• Gute Deutschkenntnisse (B2) und Englischgrundkenntnisse (A2).
• Technisches Interesse und logisches Denkvermögen.
• Bereitschaft zur Schichtarbeit ab 18 Jahren.
• Sorgfalt, Zuverlässigkeit, Teamfähigkeit.

Responsibilities

• Herstellung von Halbleiterprodukten in der Reinraumumgebung.
• Durchführung von qualitätsspezifischen Inspektionen.
• Prozessdurchführung in der Wafer-Herstellung und -Testung.
• Aufbau, Prüfung und präventive Wartung von Produktionsanlagen.
• Arbeiten gemäß QM-Anforderungen und Dokumentation der Arbeiten.

Every day, you use devices and applications that contain numerous microchips, including those manufactured by X-FAB, whether in your smartphone, smartwatch, notebook, the automotive industry, medical technology, and many other areas. Microchips are becoming smaller and smaller while at the same time becoming increasingly powerful.

Producing these microchips is the job of Microtechnologists (m/f/d). Using a variety of machines and production equipment, the surfaces of so-called wafers (silicon discs) are processed and coated in a cleanroom environment, where contamination from dirt and dust is strictly controlled.

Your Task

• Manufacturing semiconductor products (microchips) in a cleanroom environment
• Performing semiconductor-specific quality inspections
• Carrying out production processes in wafer manufacturing and wafer testing
• Setting up, inspecting, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment
• Working in accordance with quality management requirements and documenting completed work

Apprenticeship start: August 1, 2027, in Erfurt

Duration: 3 years in the German dual vocational training system

Your Profile

• At least a good intermediate secondary school qualification (Realschulabschluss), particularly in chemistry and physics
• Good German language skills (B2) and basic English language skills (A2)
• Technical interest and good logical thinking skills
• Willingness to occasionally work shifts (from the age of 18)
• Carefulness, reliability, patience, perseverance, and the ability to work in a team
