Job summary

X-FAB Sarawak sucht Auszubildende für eine Mikrotechnologie-Ausbildung in Erfurt. Sie fertigen Halbleiterprodukte in der Sauberraumumgebung an, führen qualitätssichernde Inspektionen durch und arbeiten an Waferfertigung sowie Waferprüfung.

Die Ausbildung startet am 1. August 2027 in Erfurt, dauert drei Jahre im dualen System und bietet gute Chancen auf eine Festanstellung nach erfolgreich abgeschlossener Lehre. Vier Stellen stehen zur Verfügung.

Qualifications

• Mindestens guter Realschulabschluss, insbesondere in Chemie und Physik.
• Gute Deutschkenntnisse (B2) und grundlegende Englischkenntnisse (A2).
• Technisches Interesse und gutes logisches Denkvermögen.
• Bereitschaft, gelegentlich Schichtarbeit zu leisten (ab 18 Jahren).
• Sorgfalt, Zuverlässigkeit, Geduld, Ausdauer und Teamfähigkeit.

Responsibilities

• Herstellung von Halbleiterprodukten (Mikrochips) in einer Sauberraumumgebung.
• Durchführung von qualitätssichernden Inspektionen im Halbleiterbereich.
• Durchführung von Produktionsprozessen in der Waferfertigung und Waferprüfung.
• Aufbau, Inspektion und vorbeugende Wartung von Produktionsanlagen.
• Arbeiten gemäß Qualitätsmanagementanforderungen und Dokumentation der erledigten Arbeiten.

Every day, you use devices and applications that contain numerous microchips, including those manufactured by X-FAB, whether in your smartphone, smartwatch, notebook, the automotive industry, medical technology, and many other areas. Microchips are becoming smaller and smaller while at the same time becoming increasingly powerful.

Producing these microchips is the job of Microtechnologists (m/f/d). Using a variety of machines and production equipment, the surfaces of so-called wafers (silicon discs) are processed and coated in a cleanroom environment, where contamination from dirt and dust is strictly controlled.

Your Task

• Manufacturing semiconductor products (microchips) in a cleanroom environment
• Performing semiconductor-specific quality inspections
• Carrying out production processes in wafer manufacturing and wafer testing
• Setting up, inspecting, and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment
• Working in accordance with quality management requirements and documenting completed work

Apprenticeship start: August 1, 2027, in Erfurt

Duration: 3 years in the German dual vocational training system

Your Profile

• At least a good intermediate secondary school qualification (Realschulabschluss), particularly in chemistry and physics
• Good German language skills (B2) and basic English language skills (A2)
• Technical interest and good logical thinking skills
• Willingness to occasionally work shifts (from the age of 18)
• Carefulness, reliability, patience, perseverance, and the ability to work in a team
