Die Bülow Palais und die Bülow Residenz in Dresden suchen eine engagierte Finance & Accounting Praktikantin/ Praktikant (m/w/d) für sechs Monate oder länger. Sie unterstützen das Finanzteam bei täglichen Aufgaben und arbeiten eng mit dem Financial Controller zusammen.

Sie erhalten Einblicke in Kreditoren- und Debitorenbuchhaltung, Kontenabstimmung sowie vorbereitende Tätigkeiten für Monatsabschlüsse und Berichte.

Qualifications

• Sie studieren Betriebswirtschaft, Finanzierung, Rechnungswesen oder Vergleichbares.
• Hotelmanagement-/Hospitality-Hintergrund ist willkommen.
• Erste Erfahrungen im Finanzwesen sind von Vorteil, aber nicht erforderlich.

Responsibilities

• Unterstützung des Finanzteams bei täglichen Aufgaben.

Your Role

As a Finance & Accounting intern, you will assist the finance team at the Bülow Palais and the Bülow Residenz with their day-to-day financial and administrative tasks.

You’ll work closely with our Financial Controller and gain insight into the various areas of finance and accounting within two hotels. In addition to your day-to-day duties, you’ll have the opportunity to understand the connections between hotel operations and financial results and to further develop your professional skills.

The position

We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern (m/f/d) for the finance department of the Bülow Palais and the Bülow Residenz in Dresden, preferably for six months or longer.

During your internship, you will support our Finance team in their day-to-day operations and gain insight into various areas of finance and accounting. Among other things, you will assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and daily financial controls, and help with preparatory work for monthly financial statements.

Depending on your field of study, your knowledge, and your professional development, you'll also have the opportunity to contribute to financial reports, analyses, and other controlling-related topics.

Your Responsibilities

• Support with the review, account assignment, and processing of incoming invoices
• Assisting with the preparation and review of outgoing invoices
• Support with account reconciliation and the processing of financial data
• Assisting with accounts receivable and monitoring open items
• Assistance with daily sales, cash register, and payment checks
• Identifying and Tracking Simple Differences and Deviations
• Assistance with preparatory tasks for monthly financial statements
• Compiling and Preparing Data for Financial Reports and Analyses
• Depending on your level of knowledge and professional development, you will contribute to other finance and controlling topics
• Assistance with the creation and updating of administrative overviews, such as contract and inventory lists
• Taking on additional administrative and finance-related tasks that are appropriate for the internship and the trainee's skill level

What you bring with you

• You are enrolled at a college or university and are studying business administration, economics, finance, accounting, financial reporting, management accounting, or a comparable business-related degree program
• A degree in hotel management or hospitality management, combined with a strong interest in finance, is also a great fit for this position
• Prior practical experience in finance is not required; experience in finance, the hotel industry, hospitality, or another service-oriented field is a plus
• You enjoy working with numbers and are interested in financial and administrative processes
• You work carefully, in an organized manner, and reliably
• You have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• You're eager to learn, have an analytical mind, and enjoy working as part of a team
• Good knowledge of German and English
