ecosio GmbH is a fast-growing service company specializing in B2B integration, EDI, and e-invoicing, with a remote-first culture. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records across AR, AP, GL, and related areas, and supporting month-end and year-end activities.

You will contribute to VAT and statutory filings, intercompany accounting, and regulatory reporting, while collaborating with external tax advisors as needed. A strong numbers mindset and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Completed commercial graduation (HAK/Bachelor/Master’s degree).
• 2–5 years accounting experience.
• Accountant certificate advantageous.
• Strong numerical sense and analytical thinking.
• Able to work in a team and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of BMD and/or Workday is an advantage.
• Fluency in German is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Manage, analyse, and maintain financial records across AR, AP, GL, FA, expenses, and payroll accounting.
• Process invoices, monitor payments, and ensure correct recording.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and intercompany tasks.
• Assist with VAT, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
• Assist with annual financial statements and audits with auditors.

Job Description

• Financial Record Management: Managing, analysing, and maintaining accurate financial records and transactions across accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), fixed assets (FA), general ledger (GL), employee expenses, travel, and payroll-related accounting. This includes processing incoming and outgoing invoices, monitoring payments and receivables, and ensuring transactions are correctly recorded and documented.
• Reconciling Accounts: Preparing and maintaining regular balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, credit card, payroll, intercompany, and other relevant accounts. Investigating discrepancies and ensuring open items are resolved accurately and on time.
• Managing Closings: Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, intercompany accounting, and other closing-related tasks to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial reporting.
• External & Statutory Reporting: Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT and tax-related filings, statutory financial statements, and reports to national banks, statistical offices, and other relevant authorities. Coordinating with external accounting, payroll, and tax advisors where required.
• Regulatory Compliance & Controls: Ensuring accounting activities and financial reporting comply with applicable local GAAP requirements, internal policies, and US GAAP reporting requirements. Performing and documenting assigned internal controls, including SOX controls, and supporting the continuous improvement of accounting processes and controls.
• Year-End Audit & Financial Statements: Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements and collaborating with external and internal auditors by preparing required financial information, documentation, reconciliations, and audit evidence.

The minimum salary for this position in Austria is 50 000€ / year. Your actual salary will be determined by your experience and location.
