Mitsui & Co., Deutschland GmbH is seeking an Accountant / Assistant Accountant to join the Business Support and Control Department in a full-time role. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and support strategic initiatives through accounting expertise.

The role involves processing invoices, supporting closing activities, and providing business-critical financial analyses across departments.

Formación

• Completed university studies in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Alternatively, commercial training with further qualification as an Accountant (IHK), ideally International Accountant (IHK).
• Professional experience in accounting, finance, taxation, or a comparable role.
• Solid knowledge of German accounting principles (HGB) and understanding of international accounting standards.
• Sound knowledge of taxation, particularly VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA or SAP HANA is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Process, verify, and post supplier and customer invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Analyze financial performance and variances against budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and master data integrity.
• Act as primary accounting contact across departments and support business initiatives.
• Assist in project implementations, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Prepare Intrastat reports and VAT returns in compliance with regulations.
• Review VAT-relevant transactions for regulatory compliance and documentation.
• Support calculation and reporting of corporate and trade tax obligations.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and management information for decision-making.
• Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and business planning with financial insights.

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant / Assistant Accountant (m/f/d) to join our Business Support and Control Department. This full-time, permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to contribute to our financial operations and support our strategic business initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and providing essential business support through financial analysis and accounting expertise.

• Prepare and submit Intrastat reports and VAT returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
• Review and monitor VAT-relevant transactions to ensure regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
• Support the calculation and reporting of corporate and trade tax obligations accurately and timely.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, analyses, statistics, and management information to support strategic decision-making.
• Contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and business planning processes, providing relevant financial insights.
