Job description: Key Account Director Corporate & MICE Europe
Location: Munich or Berlin (based in one of the group’s properties)
5 days in the office when not traveling
Salary: €85.000 - €90.000

This is a newly established, strategic leadership role responsible for developing and growing the European market (outside UK&I) for all properties within the hotel group.
The Key Account Director Corporate & MICE Europe will drive corporate and MICE business growth by building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers across all industries, securing high-value accounts, and maximising revenue opportunities across the group’s portfolio.
Business Development & Account Management
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow corporate and MICE business across Europe (excluding UK&I)
- Identify, target, and secure new key accounts across all industries (e.g., Technology, Finance, Pharma, Automotive, Consulting, Government, NGOs, Media)
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with C-level and senior decision-makers at multinational corporations and key MICE organisations
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic key accounts, ensuring high client satisfaction and repeat business
- Negotiate and close high-value corporate agreements, RFPs, and MICE contracts across multiple properties
- Collaborate with property-based DOS/DOSM teams to ensure seamless execution of key account business and client events
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the European corporate and MICE segments
- Provide regular feedback to the group’s commercial leadership on market dynamics, competitor activity, and client needs
- Develop and implement targeted sales strategies for key industries and market segments
- Monitor and report on KPIs including revenue, ADR, occupancy, market share, and conversion rates
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with Group Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Events teams to align strategies and maximise revenue opportunities
- Lead and mentor property-based sales teams on key account management best practices and corporate/MICE sales techniques
- Represent the hotel group at major industry events, trade fairs, and client meetings across Europe
- Facilitate cross-property collaboration to ensure consistent service delivery and brand standards for key accounts
Client Experience & Relationship Management
- Ensure exceptional client experience for all corporate and MICE guests across the portfolio
- Conduct regular client reviews, site inspections, and business reviews with key accounts
- Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts, resolving issues and ensuring client satisfaction
- Develop and implement client retention strategies to maximise lifetime value of key accounts
Reporting & Performance Management
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports to senior leadership
- Track and analyse sales pipeline, conversion rates, and revenue performance against targets
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the group’s CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, Cvent, Lanyon)
- Achieve or exceed annual revenue targets for corporate and MICE business across Europe (outside UK&I)
Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in hotel sales, with a strong focus on corporate and MICE business
- Proven track record of managing and growing strategic key accounts in the hospitality industry, preferably within a hotel group or management company
- Extensive network of relationships with C-level and senior decision-makers across multiple industries in Europe (outside UK&I)
- Experience working in a multi-property or cluster sales role is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of the European corporate and MICE market, including key industry verticals and market dynamics
- Experience in negotiating and closing high-value corporate agreements and MICE contracts
