Cloudstaff in Colombia is hiring a Transportation Recruiter to source, screen, interview, and onboard drivers across CDL classes and Non-CDL roles. You will manage the full lifecycle, ensure DOT/FMCSA compliance, and partner with operations to fill roles quickly.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships with job boards and driving schools, while maintaining confidential candidate records and a positive candidate experience throughout the process.

Formación

• Experience in transportation or logistics recruiting.
• Strong knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations.
• Experience recruiting CDL (Class A/B/C) and non-CDL drivers.
• Familiarity with Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) and pre-employment compliance.
• Knowledge of California and multi-state hiring requirements preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Recruit, source, and hire Class A/B/C CDL and non-CDL drivers.
• Conduct phone screenings and interviews to assess driving experience and fit.
• Manage full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding.
• Verify qualifications and compliance with DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Review applications, MVRs, background checks and drug test results.
• Coordinate orientation and onboarding for new hires.
• Maintain accurate applicant tracking and recruitment records.
• Build relationships with job boards, schools, and referral sources.
• Partner with operations and safety to meet staffing needs.
• Maintain positive candidate experience through the process.

Job description

This position will be responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding qualified Class A, Class B, Class C CDL, and Non-CDL drivers. The successful candidate will play an important role in building and maintaining a reliable driver workforce while ensuring all recruiting and onboarding processes are completed accurately and in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, source, and hire qualified Class A, Class B, Class C CDL, and Non-CDL drivers.
• Conduct phone screenings and interviews to evaluate candidates’ qualifications, driving experience, and suitability for available positions.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from candidate sourcing through onboarding.
• Verify driver qualifications and ensure compliance with applicable DOT, FMCSA, California, and state-specific requirements.
• Review and process employment applications, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs), background checks, drug screening results, and other required hiring documentation.
• Coordinate orientation, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding for new hires.
• Maintain accurate applicant tracking, candidate records, and recruitment documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with job boards, referral sources, driving schools, and other recruiting channels.
• Partner with operations and safety teams to understand staffing needs and ensure positions are filled in a timely manner.
• Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the hiring process and provide a positive candidate experience.
• Follow company recruiting procedures and maintain confidentiality of applicant information.

Non-negotiable skills and requirements

• Previous transportation, trucking, or logistics recruiting experience is required.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA compliance, and CDL hiring requirements.
• Experience recruiting and onboarding Class A, Class B, Class C CDL, and Non-CDL drivers.
• Knowledge of Driver Qualification Files (DQFs) and pre-employment compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with California employment practices and multi-state driver hiring requirements is highly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
