Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Transport Network Operations Engineer to support telecom infrastructure. You'll monitor alarms, analyse faults, and assist with fault diagnosis in a collaborative NOC/SNOC environment, while coordinating with vendors and field teams to ensure smooth incident resolution.

The role emphasizes proactive learning, documentation, and continuous improvement of operations, with exposure to Huawei and Nokia equipment families and a basic command of technical English.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge of transport network tech, including WDM/DWDM and SDH.
• Analytical and structured mindset with ability to follow procedures and interpret alarms.
• Good communication skills to document actions clearly and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Proactive learning attitude with interest in Huawei and/or Nokia equipment families.
• Basic technical English is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and analysing transport network alarms and events to identify faults and support incident diagnosis.
• Reviewing network performance parameters (Tx/Rx power, BER, Q-factor, interface status) to assess health and guide resolution.
• Executing guided remote diagnostics and recovery actions with proper documentation and traceability.
• Collaborating with senior engineers, vendors, and field teams (Huawei/Nokia) to coordinate incidents and maintenance.
• Contributing to knowledge sharing by updating checklists and procedures.
