Job summary

ScotiaTech, a ScotiaGBS unit of Scotiabank, seeks a Technology Lead to drive enterprise technology delivery with a strong focus on data and system integration. You will lead ETL design using Talend, mentor engineers, and ensure operational stability across global teams.

You will collaborate on architecture, governance, and deployment standards, leveraging cloud platforms and modern DevOps practices to deliver high-impact solutions for banking and financial services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with Talend ETL, data integration and system integration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, and troubleshooting data across multiple systems and interfaces.
• Experience supporting production systems and resolving complex technical issues.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services is considered an asset.
• Fluent in English (B2) and Spanish, both written and verbal.

The Role

We are seeking a Technology Lead with strong system integration, data integration, and application development expertise who can lead technical delivery activities and drive successful delivery of enterprise initiatives while ensuring operational stability and continuous improvement.

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies, understanding concepts across diverse technology stacks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services is considered an asset.
• Fluent in English (B2) and Spanish, both written and verbal.
