Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a BA/BSA with knowledge of financial products.
• 3+ years in finance/accounting background (revenue reporting and P&L).
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specs and drive solutions to completion.
• Recent experience writing intermediate to advanced SQL queries.
• Excellent team player with analytical, communication and presentation skills in cross-department teams.
• Experience in an Agile environment and SDLC understanding.

The Team

The Client Analytics technology teamis part of the Global Banking & Markets Engineering Group supporting Client P&L and performance metrics analytics and reporting. We are working on numerous projects to modernize our analytic platform, enabling our business partners the capability and availability to better manage client relationships and improve insights into client profitability. This is an opportunity to work with analytics, gaining exposure to various systems and business areas of the Bank.

The Role:

We are searching for a results-oriented and highly motivated Sr. Technical Business Analyst to liaison between business stakeholders and our technical teams, ensuring solutions are developed and delivered on time, efficiently and with high quality. The successful candidate should have a curious mindset, strong business and technical skills, passionate for challenges and want to contribute to the success of the Bank, camaraderie is as essential as technical expertise.You will have the opportunity to work with cross functional teams including engineers, architects and business teams across departments to develop and implement solutions that are scalable and deliver excellence, and value to our business partners and customers.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Demonstrate an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities
• Develop and deliver Business Requirements Documents, Design Documents, Use Cases, Test documentation and Process Models asrequired.Ensure business specifications/requirements documentation is accurately prepared and comprehensive to support development efforts and as input to various project documentation
• Conduct detailed technical data analysis, data modelling, testing and investigations to support the delivery of the reporting and analytics solution
• Participate in the development of detailed project plans, the monitoring of progress against planned objectives, and securing consensus and co-operation from users and senior management.
• Liaising between the business community and the IT organization to provide technical solutions that meet user needs.
• Build relationships and communicate effectively with colleagues in Global regions.

Must Have Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience working in a similar capacity as a BA/BSA with good understanding of financial products.
• 3+ years' finance/accounting background (experience with revenue reporting and P&L)
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and drive solutions to completion
• Recent project experience writing intermediate to advanced SQL queries.
• Excellent team player with good analytical, communication and presentation skills, able to work with cross-departmental teams
• Experience working in an Agile environment. Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and standards, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
• Experience working with all phases of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Nice to Have Skills:

• An understanding of the Bank’s application system and data from a business/technical viewpoint isrequiredto assess the impact of development and/or changes to the overall data processing environment.
• Financial certification/designation is preferred.
• Power BI is a strong asset.
• Proficiency in Python
