Job summary

ScotiaTech in Bogota, Colombia, seeks a Technical Business Analyst Specialist to support delivery of technology solutions for Commercial Banking systems. You will work with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, and Engineers to analyze requirements, define solutions, and enable strategic initiatives.

You will gather and refine business and system requirements, map data, create user stories, and assist with QA/UAT and release activities, bridging business needs with technical delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in software development and solution design.
• Ability to understand end-to-end architecture, analyze cross-system dependencies, and bridge communication between stakeholders and developers.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, and troubleshooting data across multiple systems and interfaces.
• Proven experience with Salesforce and Salesforce integrations (requirements, data mapping, data flows, interfaces).
• Experience creating user stories, data mapping, interface specifications, and integration requirements.
• Experience supporting QA, UAT, defect management, and release management activities.
• Experience with PrecisionLender, Talend or Kafka is a strong asset.
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services is a strong asset.
• Fluent in English (B2) and Spanish, written and verbal.

• Collaborate with leads and engineers to ensure correct implementation.
• Facilitate workshops and requirement gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Support QA, UAT, defect management, and production validation.
• Analyze production issues to identify root causes and remediation options.
• Ensure compliance with governance, security, and regulatory standards.

The Role

As a Technical Systems Analyst, you will support the delivery of technology solutions for Commercial Banking systems. You will work closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, Architects, and Software Engineers to analyze requirements, define system solutions, and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and system requirements.
• Break down complex business problems into clear, actionable requirements and solution components.
• Analyze current-state processes and systems, identify gaps, and define future-state business and technology solutions.
• Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, business rules, and functional specifications.
• Partner with Product Owners to support backlog refinement, prioritization, sprint planning, and release planning activities.
• Support complex system integration and data integration initiatives across multiple enterprise applications and platforms.
• Define integration requirements, data mapping, source-to-target mappings, interface specifications, and business rules.
• Collaborate closely with Technical Leads and Software Engineers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately implemented.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement gathering sessions, solution discussions, and stakeholder reviews.
• Support QA activities including test strategy, test case creation, test execution, defect management, user acceptance testing (UAT), and production validation.
• Analyze production issues and help identify root causes, business impacts, and remediation options.
• Ensure requirements, documentation, and deliverables comply with enterprise governance, security, and regulatory standards.
