AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive quality across the SDLC, partnering with Product Managers, Software Engineers, and Architects. You will design and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, and advocate a right-sized pyramid and AI-assisted testing practices.

4+ years in quality engineering, hands-on automation experience, and knowledge of REST APIs and CI/CD are required.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or automation roles.
• Automation tools/frameworks experience (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, Postman, etc.).
• Mobile test automation experience (iOS and/or Android).
• Understanding of REST APIs and service-based architectures.
• CI/CD pipelines and continuous-testing concepts familiarity.
• AI-assisted testing tools and practices experience.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with product managers, software engineers, and architects to embed quality into the SDLC.
• Define and execute a product quality strategy aligned with priorities and release objectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests across unit, API, integration, and UI layers.
• Champion a right-sized test pyramid beyond heavy UI automation.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve code coverage and architecture for tests.
• Build scalable automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
• Promote shift-left quality through backlog refinement and design reviews.
• Leverage AI-powered tools for test generation and coverage optimization.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual testing through intelligent automation.
• Investigate defects with engineering for root cause analysis.
