Job summary

EPAM Systems Colombia is seeking a senior People Location Lead to own the location's people strategy, partnering with global teams and advising location leadership. This role drives local People initiatives, ensures compliance, and mentors leaders to foster a thriving employee experience.

The position requires strong HR expertise, advanced English, and proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional programs across the Medellín site.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to lead regional or location-level People initiatives and organizational change.
• Solid understanding of HR practices, labor law, and compliance, with ability to align global strategy with local realities.
• Experience leading large teams and growing people leaders.

Responsibilities

• Provide location leadership with People-focused insights to inform decisions and shape the local agenda.
• Coordinate and drive local People initiatives in line with regional model and business priorities.
• Review metrics (engagement, attrition, performance) and partner with leadership on action plans.
• Tailor and roll out People programs, processes, and policies to fit the local context.
• Maintain compliance with local labor laws and corporate policies.
• Serve as the escalation contact for critical employee issues (conflicts, sensitive cases, compliance).
• Track organizational health and flag risks to leadership proactively.
• Bridge global/regional People teams and local realities for effective execution and feedback.
• Partner with leadership to shape location-specific initiatives that enhance performance, culture, and employee experience.
