AgileEngine is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise engineering on cloud costs and optimization, including APAC hours with overlap with PST and CST. You will triage spend, conduct proactive reviews, and deliver written analyses.

You will collaborate with R&D teams, forecast spend, and contribute to showback reporting and cost education initiatives. Strong communications are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in FinOps or cloud cost optimization.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization skills.
• Proven ability to investigate spend anomalies and write root-cause analyses.
• Experience advising R&D/engineering teams.
• Forecasting experience aligning central and team-level projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring spend.
• Proficient with Jira for documenting investigations and reports.
• Effective written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Availability to cover APAC hours with PST/CST overlap.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary cloud cost contact for R&D teams via Slack and other channels.
• Conduct proactive cost reviews with APAC-based colleagues and surface optimization opportunities.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies; produce root-cause analyses and recommendations.
• Participate in monthly forecasting; align central forecasts with team plans.
• Contribute to showback reporting and cost-driver documentation.
• Support cost-awareness initiatives and maintain wiki pages.
