Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise engineering on cloud costs, optimize spend, and coordinate proactive cost opportunities across APAC regions. You will triage inquiries via Slack, conduct structured investigations, and collaborate with R&D teams to align forecasts with roadmaps.

You will monitor OpenAI/LLM cost drivers, document findings, and contribute to monthly showback and reporting while maintaining wiki documentation and governance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management & optimization.
• Investigate spend anomalies; produce root-cause analyses.
• Partner-facing; advise R&D/engineering teams.
• Forecasting with team-level projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers.
• Cost modeling and investment tracking.
• Proficient with Jira for investigations and Slack for communication.
• Maintain documentation/wiki spaces and recurring reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Availability to cover APAC hours with PST/CST overlap.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for R&D cloud-cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Engage APAC-based teams to review monthly cloud spending and surface opportunities; document meeting notes.
• Monitor cloud/AI-LLM spend for anomalies; conduct investigations and deliver root-cause analyses; update Jira and monthly reports.
• Participate in monthly forecasting; align central forecasts with team plans; produce engagement notes.
• Contribute to showback reporting and cost-driver understanding for meetings.
• Support Cost Awareness and Cost Education; update wiki spaces.
• Model team cost projections; respond to help requests via Slack and email.
