Ideal candidates have 4+ years in FinOps, expertise in cost modeling, and experience using Jira and Slack for investigations and updates. This is a remote-friendly position with flexible office options.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization expertise.
• Ability to investigate spend anomalies and provide root-cause analyses.
• Partner-facing role advising R&D/engineering teams.
• Forecasting experience aligning central forecasts with team projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring.
• Cost modeling and tracking for teams.
• Experience documenting investigations in Jira and Slack-based support.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholders.
• Availability to cover APAC business hours with PST/CST overlap.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for R&D cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Engage APAC-based spenders to review monthly cloud spending and surface opportunities.
• Monitor cloud/AI/LLM spend for anomalies; produce root-cause analyses and optimization recommendations.
• Participate in monthly forecasting with R&D teams and document plans.
• Contribute to showback reporting and cost-driver analysis for leadership meetings.
