AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to guide engineering teams on cloud costs and optimization. The role requires overlap with APAC business hours, including PST/CST, and collaboration with R&D to forecast, monitor, and reduce spend.

Responsibilities include proactive cost reviews, root-cause analyses, and producing actionable optimization recommendations. Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization.
• Ability to investigate spend anomalies and write root-cause analyses.
• Partner-facing role advising R&D/engineering teams.
• Forecasting experience aligning central forecasts with team projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring spend.
• Cost modeling and tracking for teams/projects.
• Proficient with Jira for documenting investigations and Slack for real-time support.
• Experience maintaining technical docs/wiki and recurring reports like Showback.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Availability to cover APAC hours with PST and CST overlap.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Conduct proactive engagement with APAC-based colleagues to review monthly cloud spending and opportunities.
• Monitor cloud/AI spend for anomalies and produce root-cause analyses with optimization recommendations.
• Participate in monthly forecasting with R&D teams and document spend plans for upcoming periods.
• Contribute to showback reporting with cost driver insights for leadership meetings.
• Support Cost Awareness and Cost Education efforts and maintain wiki space.
• Model team cost projections and respond to requests via Slack and email.
