Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Database Administrator to manage high-availability production databases, secure access, and optimize performance in a hands-on role.

You will work closely with engineering teams, handle disaster recovery planning, and implement IaC with Terraform. Required: 3–4 years of DBA experience, MS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL, PowerShell or Python, AWS RDS/Aurora, and Confluent Kafka.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS and Aurora.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Python.
• Familiarity with Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration & troubleshooting.
• Performance analysis and tuning experience.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams on requirements and design.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production databases.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Ensure security and access control for database systems.
• Analyze and tune database performance; diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on system design and support.
• Operate hands-on in a highly technical environment guiding data systems.
