The role requires 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience, AWS RDS/Aurora expertise, and programming with PowerShell or Python. Terraform and Confluent Kafka experience are highly valued, with flexible remote/office options available.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with MS SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS and Aurora.
• Programming with PowerShell or Python.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration and troubleshooting.
• Extensive experience with performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience collaborating with engineering teams on requirements and tight deadlines.
• Administration of high-availability production systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and ensure optimal performance.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss.
• Keep databases secure, manage access control, and enforce security policies.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design reviews and support.
• Operate hands-on in a highly technical environment managing data systems.
• Stay composed under pressure in stressful situations.
