Job summary

This hands-on role requires collaboration with engineering teams to ensure performance and reliability. You will work with MS SQL Server, Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, Terraform, and Kafka, focusing on security, disaster recovery, and scale in a fast-paced environment with upper-intermediate English.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on DBA experience.
• Experience with SQL Server and Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS RDS/Aurora.
• PowerShell or Python programming.
• IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Kafka (Confluent Kafka) administration.
• Performance analysis and tuning.
• Experience with high-availability production systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high availability of production database systems and keep performance strong.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery with zero data loss in a disaster.
• Keep databases secure, manage access control and security protocols.
• Analyze and tune database performance and diagnose issues.
• Collaborate with engineers on design, tuning, and support.
• Operate hands-on in a highly technical data environment.
• Stay composed under pressure in demanding situations.
