AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based enterprise data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will lead senior technical ownership of the Data Platform service tower during the LatAm coverage window and oversee day-to-day operations, troubleshooting, and escalations. The role requires strong SQL, dbt, Python, and AWS data-services experience, plus hands-on work with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes and data ingestion pipelines.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake data platforms, warehouse performance, access patterns, and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with dbt for transformation, testing, documentation, lineage, and controlled deployment.
• Experience operating managed ingestion tools such as Fivetran or HVR and supporting custom ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services, particularly S3 and event-driven/file-based ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes and related orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering, automation, and tooling.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, and data quality.
• Experience with observability, logging, alerting, and incident-management for production data platforms.
• Ability to lead incident resolution, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive improvements.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; able to work with client stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage, including operations and escalation.
• Operate and improve Snowflake production and non-production environments, including sizing, performance, and lifecycle management.
• Administer data access with least-privilege and audit-ready controls across users, roles, and secrets.
• Manage data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines, including onboarding and failure recovery.
• Design, build, and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers with testing and CI/CD.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations, including lifecycle, logging, and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps on Argo Workflows and Kubernetes data workloads; support deployment and recovery.
• Define data quality and observability standards with freshness, nulls, and schema drift checks.
• Expand monitoring and lineage using tooling and alerting stacks; link alerts to runbooks.
• Lead or participate in major data incidents, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Support Tableau Cloud operations when data/connectivity issues arise.
• Identify and implement standardization, automation, and cost improvements; migrate legacy patterns to golden paths.
• Execute work through incident, request, change, and release processes; create runbooks and procedures.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and ensure effective handoffs across the distributed team.
• Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation for critical incidents.
