AgileEngine in Colombia is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will own data platform operations during LatAm hours, lead incident resolution, and drive robust data ingestion and modeling with dbt, Fivetran/HVR, and AWS S3. Strong SQL, Python, and observability are required to ensure data quality and reliability.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience on Snowflake, including data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and dbt for transformation, testing, and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom data-ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on with AWS data services, especially S3 and event/file ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes and related tooling.
• Python or similar language for automation and tooling.
• Understanding of data modeling, pipeline dependencies, schema evolution, and data quality.
• Experience with observability, logging, alerting, and incident-management for production data platforms.
• Ability to lead complex incidents and perform root-cause analysis.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage window and handle escalations.
• Operate and improve Snowflake production and non-production environments and optimize performance.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit readiness.
• Manage data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines with failures and backfills.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations including lifecycle, access, and logging.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads.
• Define data quality, observability standards and runbooks; expand lineage and monitoring.
• Lead or support major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Mentor engineers and participate in on-call rotation.
