AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment.

You will own the data platform during LatAm coverage, manage ingestion with Fivetran/HVR, and build robust pipelines using dbt across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers. You’ll work with AWS S3, Argo, and Kubernetes, improving data quality and observability while leading incidents.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and strong experience with dbt for transformation, testing, and deployment.
• Experience operating ingestion tools such as Fivetran or HVR and custom pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data services, particularly S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar workflow orchestration.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, and data quality.
• Experience with observability, logging, alerting, and incident management for production data platforms.
• Ability to lead incident resolution and preventive improvements.
• Ability to make well-reasoned technical decisions and guide platform improvements.
• Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with Cloud/DevOps and stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Full availability to work with Pacific Time and on-call rotation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage window and handle L2/L3 escalations.
• Operate and improve Snowflake environments including warehouse configuration, performance, and lifecycle management.
• Administer data access with least-privilege and audit-ready practices.
• Operate and improve data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers with testing and CI/CD.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations including lifecycle controls and downstream coordination.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes-hosted workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards and expand monitoring and lineage.
• Lead or support major data incidents, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Support Tableau Cloud operations where data and connections require investigation.
• Deliver standardization and automation improvements, migrating legacy patterns toward golden paths.
• Execute work through incident, request, access, change, and release processes with service-management workflows.
• Create and maintain runbooks, procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Mentor Mid-level engineers and ensure effective handoffs within the distributed team.
• Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation.
