AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will own the data platform service tower, manage ingestion pipelines, and drive data quality and observability across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers.

You will mentor engineers and coordinate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, and Governance teams, while ensuring reliable, scalable data solutions and on-call readiness.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Snowflake: data-layer design, warehouse performance, access patterns, production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing, documentation, lineage, and controlled deployment.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom data-ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on AWS data services, especially S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Orchestrating data workloads with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar.
• Python or equivalent language for data engineering and tooling.
• Strong data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, backfills, data quality.
• Observability, logging, alerting, and incident-management in production data platforms.
• Ability to lead incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, Governance.
• Strong written and spoken English; client-facing communication.
• Availability to work 9:00 AM–6:00 PM PT and participate in on-call rotation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide senior ownership for the Data Platform service tower during the LatAm coverage window.
• Operate and improve Snowflake production and non-production environments, including sizing and monitoring.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit-ready practices.
• Operate and improve data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design, build, and maintain dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers with testing and lineage.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes-hosted workloads.
• Define and improve data quality and observability standards and checks.
• Lead or support major data incidents, root-cause analysis, and preventive actions.
• Create runbooks, procedures, and knowledge-transfer materials; mentor engineers.
• Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation and collaborate with stakeholders.
