Job summary

Caseware, a leading global Fintech software provider, seeks an experienced senior engineer to shape its cloud-native SaaS platform. You will collaborate with senior engineers to drive architecture, define roadmaps, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions across distributed systems.

In this remote Colombia role, you’ll mentor teams, implement AI-assisted development practices, and contribute to open API design while upholding security and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with impact beyond a single team.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS platforms at scale, ideally on AWS.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, SOLID, and code quality.
• Experience with agentic‑AI software development practices.
• Experience designing and consuming well‑designed HTTP APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; English at least B2.

Responsibilities

• Create architecture, prototypes, and design proposals that deliver near‑term business value while aligning with the product vision.
• Influence technical direction through architecture reviews and design discussions.
• Partner with senior engineers to define and execute architecture roadmap across the platform.
• Champion reliable, maintainable code; balance speed with long‑term health of the system.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and AI‑assisted development practices.
