Job summary

CaseWare is seeking a Senior Software Developer III to act as a technical leader, shaping architecture and design across a cloud-native SaaS platform. You will mentor developers, guide AI-assisted development, and partner with cross-functional teams to translate technical decisions into business value.

This fully remote role is based in Colombia, requiring strong English communication and a proven track record designing and operating scalable systems on AWS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with impact beyond a single team.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS/multi-tenant platforms at scale, ideally on AWS.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, SOLID, and code quality advocacy.
• Experience with agentic‑AI software development practices.
• Experience designing and consuming well‑designed HTTP APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Experience mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English; comfortable in fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead design discussions; influence product/platform roadmap.
• Guide architecture reviews, RFCs, and design discussions across teams.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to define and execute architecture roadmap.
• Balance speed, quality, maintainability, and long-term platform health.
• Break large initiatives into parallel work delivering incremental value.
• Champion SDLC best practices from design to production.
• Improve core product build, CI/CD pipelines, and observability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive reliability and incident response.
• Keep technical docs current and create new artifacts as needed.
• Mentor developers through design reviews and AI-enabled sessions.
• Represent team in technical discussions with stakeholders; drive shared ownership.
