Job summary

Caseware, a leading fintech platform, seeks an AWS Backend Senior Software Developer III in a fully remote Colombia role. You will shape architecture, mentor teams, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, secure software leveraging AI-assisted workflows.

You will lead architectural decisions, improve CI/CD, and ensure high reliability while partnering with product, UX, security, and operations. Strong English and cloud-native experience required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of professional software development with impact beyond a single team.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS platforms at scale (AWS preferred).
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, SOLID, coding quality.
• Experience with agentic-AI software development practices.
• Excellent communication; English at high level (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Create architecture, prototypes and design proposals delivering near-term business value aligned with the product vision.
• Influence technical direction through reviews, RFCs, and design discussions.
• Define and execute product/platform architecture roadmap with senior colleagues.
• Balance delivery speed, quality, maintainability and long-term health.
• Break large initiatives into parallelizable work delivering incremental value.
• Champion proposals through SDLC from design to production.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and overall SDLC reliability.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive observability and incident response.
• Maintain technical docs and create new artifacts as needed.
• Mentor developers through design reviews and AI-assisted workflows.
• Share knowledge of new technologies and best practices.
• Evaluate emerging tech and cloud capabilities for the platform.
