Job summary

Caseware is seeking a Senior Software Developer III in a fully remote role based in Colombia. You will lead architecture discussions, mentor engineers, and drive AI‑assisted development while partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable software.

You will champion engineering quality, design reviews, and open API governance, shaping the platform’s future while maintaining strong collaboration with stakeholders. English level is high (B2+).

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development with impact beyond a single team.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS platforms on AWS.
• Strong OO, design patterns, SOLID principles and code quality advocacy.
• Experience with agentic-AI software development practices.
• Experience designing and consuming well-designed HTTP APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; English at least B2.
• Proactive to improve processes, tools, methodologies, and product quality.

Responsibilities

• Create architecture and design proposals that deliver near-term business value.
• Influence technical direction through architecture reviews and RFCs.
• Define product/platform architecture roadmap with senior teams.
• Balance speed, quality, and long-term platform health in decisions.
• Break down large initiatives into parallelizable work items.
• Mentor developers through reviews and AI-led sessions.
• Improve core product build, CI/CD pipelines, and SDLC.
• Troubleshoot production issues; drive reliability and incident response.
• Document knowledge and facilitate cross-team design discussions.
