Caseware is seeking an experienced AWS-backed Backend Senior Software Developer III to help shape architecture and lead engineering efforts. This remote role is based in Colombia and emphasizes agentic-AI tooling, observability, and scalable cloud-native design.

You will mentor peers, influence cross-functional decisions, and drive best practices across the SDLC while delivering high-impact features for a global customer base.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development with impact beyond a single team.
• Experience designing and operating distributed, cloud-native SaaS platforms at scale (AWS preferred).
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with agentic-AI software development practices.
• Experience designing HTTP APIs (REST/GraphQL).
• Mentoring developers and influencing architectural decisions across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Create architecture, prototypes, and proposals delivering value while aligning with platform vision.
• Lead architecture reviews, RFCs, and design discussions.
• Collaborate to define and execute the product/platform roadmap.
• Improve SDLC, CI/CD, and reliability across the system.
• Mentor junior developers and foster engineering maturity.
• Build and operate gateway components and multi-tenant AWS-based infrastructure.
• Design OpenAPI contracts and manage target runtimes.
• Ensure secure, scalable, and observable cloud-native implementations.
