Job summary

NUMIS CPAs in British Columbia is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. You’ll lead high-level prep and first review of compilations under the Senior Manager, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has a CPA designation (preferred), 3+ years in public practice with 1-2 years in senior accounting, and experience with Caseware, CCH iFirm, Adobe Acrobat, and the Microsoft Office suite. Strong English communication and independence are essential.

Qualifications

• CPA Designation is preferred.
• 3+ years with relevant public practice experience; with at least 1-2 years of Senior Accountant experience.
• Experience with Review & Compilations.
• Experience with Caseware, CCH iFirm, Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Sharepoint).
• Exposure to paperless systems, including QuickBooks Online, and SharePoint considered an asset.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with the team when required.
• Driven to meet simultaneous deadlines and adapt to competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex compilation engagements, review engagements and various other accounting assignments.
• Manage file progress and workflow.
• Review working papers and support for the completion of financial statements.
• Review corporate and individual tax returns.
• Review sales tax returns.
• Utilize technology to maximize efficiency and accuracy.
• Providing ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of accounting staff.
• Contribute to client satisfaction by providing clients with exceptional quality, timely and responsive services.
