South is seeking a hands-on Freight Operations & Sales Specialist to join a dedicated hybrid team serving U.S. clients.

You will coordinate shipments from pickup to delivery, build freight lanes, and drive outbound sales to secure ongoing volume and profitable capacity. You will report to the Operations Lead and work in a fast-paced environment with focus on relationship building, CRM/TMS accuracy, and ensuring high backhaul utilization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in U.S. freight brokerage, 3PL, or trucking operations.
• Proven experience in proactive cold calling, outbound sales, and building new freight lanes from scratch.
• Hands-on experience coordinating box truck or truckload shipments and handling daily operational issues.
• Advanced English proficiency with strong verbal communication skills for direct U.S. client interaction.
• Track record of achieving operational targets, such as high backhaul utilization rates and weekly volume goals.
• Ability to report directly to leadership and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Sales & Lane Development (75% focus): Execute proactive outbound cold calling and lead generation to build new shipper relationships and establish consistent freight lanes.
• Inbound & Client Engagement (25% focus): Follow up on inbound inquiries, respond to customer quotes, and manage ongoing account communications.
• Volume & Capacity Growth: Drive carrier growth to target a minimum weekly volume of $5,000 across multiple carriers.
• Backhaul Optimization: Focus on selling and securing return loads to ensure a backhaul fill rate exceeding 90%.
• Operations & Execution: Coordinate daily freight progress, communicate with drivers and U.S. clients, and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Documentation & Systems: Prepare rate confirmations, Bills of Lading (BOLs), Proofs of Delivery (PODs), and maintain accurate CRM and TMS records.
