Job summary

Formulated Automation seeks a hands-on Freight Operations & Sales Specialist to coordinate shipments from pickup to delivery and develop new freight lanes for a U.S. client.

You will engage shippers, expand carrier relationships, and optimize backhaul utilization while reporting to the Operations Lead. The role blends daily logistics with proactive sales outreach, requires strong English communication, 2+ years in U.S.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in U.S. freight brokerage, 3PL, or trucking operations.
• Proven cold calling, outbound sales, and lane development experience.
• Experience coordinating box truck or truckload shipments daily.
• Advanced English with strong verbal communication for U.S. client interaction.
• Track record of hitting backhaul utilization and weekly volume goals.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Lane Development: outbound calls to build shipper relationships and new freight lanes.
• Inbound & Client Engagement: respond to inquiries and manage account communications.
• Volume & Capacity Growth: drive carrier growth to weekly volume targets.
• Backhaul optimization: secure return loads to exceed 90% fill rate.
• Operations & Execution: coordinate daily freight progress with drivers and clients.
• Documentation & Systems: prepare rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, maintain CRM/TMS records.
