AgileEngine, LLC seeks a Data Engineer to own ETL pipelines powering analytics for colleges and universities. You will design and maintain data workflows using SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow, moving data into a cloud data warehouse and adapting shared pipelines for clients.

You will collaborate with client teams and analysts to gather requirements, write DDL and deployment scripts, and support production pipelines while modernizing infrastructure with new data technologies.

Formación

• 3-4 years of data engineering or related software engineering experience.
• Strong SQL with complex joins, window functions, and star-schema modeling.
• Hands-on Apache Airflow experience (DAGs, operators, scheduling, debugging).
• Working knowledge of ETL patterns and cloud data warehouse design (Redshift or similar).
• Git and GitLab (or GitHub/Bitbucket) for version control.
• Docker / Docker Compose understanding.
• Ability to translate client and business requirements into SQL, config changes, and DAG updates.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines and data workflows across environments.
• Extend data models and datasets to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Adapt shared data pipelines for individual clients while keeping a reusable codebase.
• Monitor production pipelines, investigate failures, and apply fixes promptly.
• Write and maintain database DDL, data validation queries, and deployment scripts.
• Contribute to platform modernization, including infra upgrades and new data tech.
• Collaborate with client teams, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements.
