Community Sports Partners is seeking a detail‑oriented Controller to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations, from monthly close to internal controls and compliance. You will own the accounting function end to end, partner with the CFO, and drive process improvements in a remote environment.

The role requires hands‑on expertise in bookkeeping, payroll, tax filings, financial reporting, and strong communication to translate numbers for non‑finance stakeholders.

Formación

• Full-cycle bookkeeping duties including accounts payable and receivable
• Payroll processing and bank reconciliations
• Inter‑company bookkeeping across related entities
• Tax filings and remittances knowledge (HST)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting
• Maintain GAAP compliance and coordinate audits and regulatory filings
• Develop budgets and variance analyses
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel is essential

Responsabilidades

• Perform full‑cycle bookkeeping for AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations
• Match bank feeds and reconcile accounts in QuickBooks Online
• Manage AR and AP with timely invoicing and payments
• Process semi‑monthly payroll using Wagepoint and Square
• Ensure accurate tax filings and remittances (HST)
• Review and approve staff expense reimbursements
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting
• Maintain internal controls and GAAP policies; coordinate audits
• Support budgeting and forecasting with variance analyses
• Collaborate with CFO and department leaders to streamline processes
