Somewhere is scaling its tech infrastructure and seeks a backend-focused engineer to build the core data and integration layer of our lending business.

You will lead the transition from spreadsheets to a reliable backend powered by relational databases, Python services, and automated API integrations, with direct access to leadership and scope to influence architecture and data platform roadmap.

Formación

• 3–4+ years of backend or data engineering experience building production systems.
• Strong SQL experience (PostgreSQL/MySQL or SQL Server) and Python data work.
• Proven API integration experience between disparate systems.
• Familiarity with Azure networking and security basics.
• Fluent written and spoken English; remote collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design and own relational databases (SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL) and schemas.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
• Build ETL/ELT processes to move data from spreadsheets to central DB.
• Model data for lending operations, risk analytics, and real-time reporting.
• Ensure data quality with automated tests and monitoring.
