Commit is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to work remotely with a founder-led team on product and technical direction. You’ll focus on Django/Python backend with light frontend work and own features from start to production, collaborating across time zones.

You’ll work on APIs powering the consumer dashboard and the B2B platform, with responsibilities spanning feature development, performance tuning, and third-party integrations.

Formación

• 6+ years building production web applications.
• 3+ years with Python and Django.
• Celery, RabbitMQ, and Redis in production.
• Working knowledge of CS fundamentals: data structures, concurrency, SQL, system design.
• Strong written communication; comfortable working async across time zones.
• Self-direction and follow-through.

Responsabilidades

• Develop Django backend powering the consumer dashboard and B2B platform.
• Implement new features for APIs and improve performance and reliability of pipelines.
• Perform code reviews within a small backend team.
• Integrate with third-party services (Stripe, WorkOS SSO) and other external systems.
• Ensure production readiness and post-release support.
