The Construction Document Control Specialist is responsible for managing, maintaining, and controlling project documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This position will ensure that drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, transmittals, correspondence, and other project records are accurate, current, properly distributed, and maintained in accordance with project and contractual requirements.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, change orders, transmittals, correspondence, and related documentation.
Manage project documentation and workflows within Procore.
Configure and maintain Procore workflows to support project document control requirements.
Ensure document control procedures comply with project, company, and contractual requirements.
Monitor document status, revisions, approvals, and distribution to ensure information is properly controlled and accessible.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders to track documentation and resolve outstanding items.
Identify documentation gaps, discrepancies, or missing information and proactively drive resolution.
Support project closeout by organizing and tracking outstanding documentation and closeout requirements.
Provide guidance and training to field and office personnel on Procore document control processes and best practices.
Maintain effective correspondence and communication logs throughout the project.
Perform other document control and project administrative duties as required.
Demonstrated hands‑on proficiency with Procore, including project documentation, RFIs, submittals, drawings, correspondence logs, and document workflows.
Ability to configure Procore workflows and train field and office staff in the proper use of the platform.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to independently manage document control processes with minimal supervision.
Proactive problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify documentation gaps and follow through to resolution.
Strong knowledge of construction documentation and project document control practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
Ability to work effectively with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in construction document control.
Hands‑on experience using Procore in a construction/project environment.
Experience managing drawings, RFIs, submittals, specifications, change orders, transmittals, and project correspondence.
Experience working on pharmaceutical and/or industrial capital projects is strongly preferred.
Salary: $3,000.00 – $4,300.00 per month
