Job summary

Talento, a U.S.-based logistics partner, seeks an organized Dispatcher to coordinate daily container trucking for the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

You will assign drivers, track loads, manage ERDs and cargo cutoffs, and use Truckstop ITS Load Board and eModal to keep operations running smoothly.

This permanent, full-time role offers training on internal procedures and a pathway to growth within the U.S. operation.

Qualifications

• B2 English level or higher.
• 1–2 years of experience in dispatch, drayage, freight forwarding, or transportation logistics.
• Knowledge of port operations is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily truck assignments, pickups, deliveries, and container moves.
• Assign drivers based on availability, routes, equipment readiness, and Hours of Service.
• Manage terminal appointments, ERDs, and cargo cutoffs; track progress.
• Use Truckstop ITS Load Board and eModal for operations.
• Track load progress and update customers on delays and status.
• Support equipment maintenance tracking and billing.

At Talento, we’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate daily container trucking for a U.S. logistics company that serves the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach

What you’ll do:

• Coordinate daily truck assignments, pickups, deliveries, and container moves
• Assign drivers based on availability, routes, equipment readiness, and Hours of Service
• Manage terminal appointments, empty pickups and loaded returns, chassis, earliest receiving dates (ERDs), and cargo cutoffs
• Work with tools like Truckstop (ITS Load Board) and eModal
• Track load progress, solve delays, and keep customers updated
• Support equipment maintenance tracking and billing

What we’re looking for:

• B2 English level or higher
• 1-2 years of experience in dispatch, drayage, freight forwarding, or transportation logistics (preferred)
• Knowledge of port operations and container tracking (a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics software
• Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
