Job Description:

The Ocean Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in executing international freight forwarding tasks to ensure the smooth transit of global cargo. This position focuses on processing accurate multimodal shipping documents and maintaining up-to-date tracking information for international shipments. By collaborating with overseas agents, internal operations teams, and external vendors, this role guarantees compliance and efficiency within a shared, high-volume environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Process ocean and air multimodal shipping documents electronically and manually to ensure international compliance.
• Execute high-volume data entry tasks accurately within established forwarding systems to maintain complete cargo records.
• Track and trace international shipments continuously to provide real-time updates to internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively with overseas agents to coordinate shipment details and resolve immediate transit discrepancies.
• Manage task-driven requests from a shared operational queue to support the broader freight forwarding team efficiently.
• Review commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading to verify cargo specifications and prevent customs delays.
• Coordinate documentation transfers between carriers, brokers, and clients to facilitate smooth cargo release at destination ports.
• Monitor daily shipment statuses against established deadlines to ensure all operational targets are met successfully.
• Update internal databases with precise freight movement milestones to enhance global supply chain visibility.
• Support senior operations personnel by handling foundational documentation tasks and administrative requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational logs to facilitate seamless shift handovers and continuous workflow execution.

Requirements:

• Minimum of an associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent in a related field.
• Proven operational experience within transportation, logistics, or the freight forwarding industry.
• B2-C1 English level proficiency.
