Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Payroll DS Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and statutory compliance. The role partners with global process owners, capability centers, and cross-functional teams, while guiding a matrixed payroll team to deliver high-quality services.

The position requires strong leadership, change management, and audit readiness capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Payroll/HR/Finance operations
• 3+ years in a Management/People Leader role
• Experience managing multi-country payroll operations
• Experience overseeing payroll controls, compliance, audits, statutory requirements
• Able to lead teams through change in a fast-paced environment
• Strong English communication, presentation and facilitation skills
• Knowledge management systems and compliance requirements (SOX, etc.) preferred
• Payroll, Project Management, Analytics, Lean Six Sigma/Design Thinking certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll delivery for assigned countries with timely, compliant processing.
• Oversee payroll controls, approvals, reconciliations, accounting entries, and remittances.
• Ensure audit readiness with robust documentation and calendars.
• Support internal, external, and regulatory audits as required.
• Manage a matrixed team of payroll supervisors and contributors.
• Partner with Global Payroll and project teams on system implementations and transitions.
