Remote People is hiring an Onboarding Specialist to guide clients and their new employees through the global onboarding journey, ensuring processes are simple, clear, and compliant from day one.

You will review information, prepare contracts, coordinate country-specific requirements, and partner with Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and Finance to ensure timely activation of payroll and benefits. This role thrives in a fast-paced, remote, international environment.

Qualifications

• English fluency in both writing and speaking.
• 2+ years in employee onboarding, HR administration, global mobility, payroll operations, or similar client-facing roles.
• Experience supporting onboarding in multiple countries; familiarity with EOR/PEO/global employment.
• Strong understanding of onboarding processes, country-specific requirements, contracts, and compliance.
• Experience with employee documentation, benefits enrollment, contracts, and amendments.
• Attention to detail with ability to manage several cases, deadlines, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end onboarding for employees across multiple countries from intake to first day.
• Guide clients and employees through onboarding requirements, timelines, documents, and next steps.
• Review and verify employee information and documentation for accuracy and compliance before start date.
• Prepare employment contracts using templates; coordinate reviews, signatures, and amendments.
• Coordinate country-specific onboarding requirements including medical checks, right-to-work docs, visas, tax forms.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, Legal, Finance, and Client Success to activate payroll and benefits on time.
• Handle multiple active cases simultaneously with high accuracy and service quality.
• Follow up on outstanding actions; flag risks early, including unsigned contracts after 24 hours.
