Clara is hiring a Forward-deployed Engineer to join the intersection of Product Engineering and GTM teams, embedded with partners to ship integrations swiftly. You will own the end-to-end integration lifecycle, from qualification to handoff, working hands-on with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and writing real code to shape our integration framework.

• Experience working directly with external partners or customers in a technical capacity, owning the relationship, not just the code.
• Owns the integration lifecycle from qualification to handoff.
• 4+ years of backend software development with API integrations, webhooks, and data mapping.
• Ability to move fast in ambiguous environments and scope/start builds quickly.
• Strong proficiency in Java or other backend languages and cross-system work.
• Knowledge of observability: logs, metrics, tracing, alerting, and SLOs.
• Use of AI tools to scaffold connectors and automate repetitive mapping tasks.
• Proficient in English and Spanish or English and Portuguese.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with integration platforms (N8N, Zapier, or equivalents).

Responsabilidades

• Own the full integration lifecycle for partners and customers requiring hands-on delivery, qualification, scoping, build, and handoff.
• Run Phase 0 qualification assessments — map systems, data flows, risk surface, and build approach.
• Build and configure integration connectors, data mappings, and partner adapters using Clara's framework.
• Coordinate with partner technical teams as the primary technical contact.
• Collaborate with Platform/API squads to leverage core primitives and reuse opportunities.
• Ensure integrations meet standards: idempotency, observability, secrets management, data minimization, sandbox testing.
• Drive clean handoffs with runbooks, dashboards, and on-call plans.
• Feed learnings back into the platform to create shared libraries/configs.
