Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions inside enterprise environments. You’ll work with a Deployment Strategist to co-create production-ready deployments, spanning configuration, customization, and full-stack integration.

You’ll collaborate with senior engineers, mentors, and product teams to ship real code with measurable business impact, while traveling to customer sites and staying at the forefront of AI tools and techniques.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience in AI/tech stack
• Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience required
• Fluent in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex; willing to add others as needed
• Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering; able to explain failures and fixes
• Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns

Responsibilities

• Develop agentic AI solutions in production environments for enterprise customers
• Design prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems
• Own end-to-end components from architecture to deployed and observable in production
• Build data pipelines and dashboards for monitoring deployment health and business outcomes
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs that move quickly to deployment
• Collaborate with customers and partners, sharing best practices and enabling teams
• Surface platform gaps and field insights to engineers and product teams
• Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate customer challenges into deployed solutions
