Job summary

GEA Group in Bogotá is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in the food and beverage sector to design, optimize and upgrade industrial equipment while ensuring compliance with hygienic and food safety standards.

You will create 2D layouts and 3D models using AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Inventor, review supplier drawings, supervise workshops, and support project documentation and procurement. Willingness to travel up to 30% and visa to entry the United States is desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical or electromechanical engineering.
• Excellent mastery of 3D modeling with AutoCAD, Plant 3D and Inventor.
• 5+ years of demonstrable experience in industrial project designs, steam and condensate networks, skid tanks, and piping diagrams.
• Valuable knowledge of main engineering calculation and design tools and vessel simulation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, edition and management of plant layouts.
• Design, edition and management of P&IDs.
• Review engineering delivered by workshops and verify construction drawings.
• Create and verify isometrics and mechanical assemblies in the field.
